Blockers

So what: The first blocker (email verification code) is RESOLVED. A second-gate blocker (manual organizer approval via WhatsApp) has surfaced — wecourts staff manually review every organizer signup before granting dashboard access. The Phase 3 wizard-walk (create-tournament min + max field exploration) cannot complete until approval lands at +66620230022.

RESOLVED 2026-05-22 — email verification (gate 1)

Resolution: Nestor pasted code 157208 to the agent at 2026-05-22 ~03:25 UAE time. Code accepted. Account moved past /verify-email into the next state.

ACTIVE 2026-05-22 — organizer manual approval (gate 2)

State: https://wecourts.com/onboarding/pending-review Evidence: screenshots/51-onboarding-pending.png + raw-html/52-onboarding-pending-review.text.txt

Page copy verbatim:

"We're reviewing your profile Thanks, Nestor! Our team is reviewing your organizer profile. You'll get a WhatsApp message as soon as you're approved — usually within a few hours. We'll notify you at +66620230022. Waiting for approval — checking automatically"

What this means:

  • WeCourts requires manual human review of every organizer signup
  • Approval is signaled via WhatsApp message (NOT email — fully MENA-native ops)
  • They already have Nestor's Thailand phone +66620230022 from somewhere (likely the WPPR identity-graph: Nestor's email or name was previously submitted by an organizer who ran a tournament he played in, OR a Google-OAuth pre-fetch even on password signup)
  • The page auto-polls for state change

What I was able to walk before the gate (Phase 3 partial):

  • The /onboarding choose-path step (Padel Club vs Organizer Company) — screenshots/52, 62
  • The "Find your organizer company" dedupe-list step (Organizer Company path) — screenshots/53, 63
  • The "Create your company" form fields (when no existing company matches) — screenshots/54, 64
  • The "Find your club" dedupe-list step (Padel Club path) — screenshots/59
  • The "Create your club" form fields — screenshots/60
  • The country dropdown (full ISO-3166 list, all countries accepted including Thailand and SEA) — screenshots/61, 65
  • The redesigned WPPR landing page with new claims (federation partners, smart-court integrations, 20K+ verified) — screenshots/56, 67
  • The new /matches BETA surface (Match Express) — screenshots/57
  • 3 newly-exposed API endpoints — /api/auth/me, /api/tournaments, /api/v1/changelog
  • Supabase project URL exposed in HTML preconnect — uptheqepffmurgysqzal.supabase.co
  • DigitalOcean Spaces CDN exposed — wecourts.blr1.cdn.digitaloceanspaces.com (Bangalore region)

What's still gated (Phase 3 unmet goals):

  • The actual organizer dashboard (Hub)
  • The tournament-create wizard (/tournaments/new returns "Tournament Not Found" — gated until approved)
  • The Operator Console (drilldown sheets for format/scoring/KOC/TV/magic links/DQ/incidents/seeds/advanced)
  • The SOS Console with 12+ recovery actions
  • The Organizer Command Palette (Ctrl+K)
  • Magic link generation UI
  • TV pairing UI
  • Multi-organizer collaboration RBAC
  • Payments configuration UI (if any shipped yet)
  • The "Submit Results" flow internals
  • The "Match Center" + "Referee App & Scoring" surfaces

What I need from Nestor (one of these):

  1. Preferred: When the WhatsApp approval message arrives at +66620230022, tell me approved=yes and I'll immediately resume the wizard walk. Time-on-task for Nestor: ~5 seconds (just say "approved").
  2. Alternative: ask WeCourts support directly to expedite approval (could speed it up but skirts the "observation, not espionage" rule).
  3. Skip the gated half entirely and call Phase 3 done with what I have (substantial — the onboarding flow alone added significant intel; deliverables have been updated; wizard-walk can be a v2 follow-up).

My recommendation: Option 3 for now, Option 1 if approval lands within a few hours. The intel I gathered from the onboarding flow + redesigned WPPR + Match Express BETA + stack confirmation + federation partner list already changed material conclusions in the proposal (see "post-gated-walk revisions" section in self-critique.md, and the new deltas D8-D10 in the proposal).

Anticipated future blockers (still relevant from prior pass)

When Likely gate Decision Nestor will need
First tournament-publish attempt May require KYC + WhatsApp business verification Skip / provide / abort
WPPR-Verified tournament toggle Sales-qualified (31 of 92 organizers are Partners) Skip and document the gate / request approval / pretend to be an existing org
Payment configuration Likely Stripe / Telr / Tap (UAE gateways); needs a real bank Always skip — document UI only
WhatsApp community claim Requires real WhatsApp Business Group connection Always skip — document UI only
Smart-court / AI camera integration Per WPPR landing page; likely BD-only Document marketing claim, don't try to connect

If any of these fire when approval lands, I will pause and append here.
